Lenovo and NVIDIA are partnering to offer end-to-end solutions to help enterprises quickly adopt generative AI. Announced today at Lenovo Tech World, the companies are providing businesses with accelerated systems, AI software, and professional services to easily build and deploy customized AI models.
The new offerings allow enterprises to take a hybrid approach - developing AI models in the cloud with NVIDIA's AI Foundations platform, then running them on-site on high-performance Lenovo systems powered by NVIDIA hardware and software. This provides flexibility to run workloads across on-premises data centers, public clouds, and edge environments.
The partnership provides businesses with turnkey AI infrastructure and edge computing solutions to accelerate adoption, including:
- NVIDIA-certified Lenovo systems for edge AI, leveraging data center-class performance at the network edge
- Solutions tailored for digital twin workloads using NVIDIA Omniverse software and Lenovo ThinkSystem servers
- Lenovo ThinkSystem servers optimized for AI combined with NVIDIA data processing units to enable faster data insights, simplify operations, and maximize resiliency
- Validated, ready-to-deploy solutions covering the full AI workflow so enterprises can rapidly innovate with confidence
Kirk Skaugen, President of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, emphasized the mutual goal of both companies to pave a simpler path towards generative AI. He expressed that their combined efforts aim to harness the vast potential of AI and assist businesses in rapidly leveraging cutting-edge AI for transformative purposes.
A key part of the solution is the NVIDIA NeMo framework which helps companies fine-tune large pre-trained language models using their own unique data. This allows organizations to tailor enterprise-grade large language models, available on NVIDIA AI Foundations. Using state-of-the-art techniques like retrieval-augmented generation, businesses can design generative AI applications that are primed for performance on Lenovo's hybrid AI solutions.
The new Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 V3 server and ThinkStation PX workstation deliver accelerated performance for production AI workloads using NVIDIA GPUs, networking, and data processing units.
VMware customers can also leverage the collaboration, with support provided for VMware's Private AI Foundation platform that facilitates AI adoption. To further simplify deployment, Lenovo offers comprehensive AI Professional Services and flexible consumption models to help guide implementation.
The partnership exemplifies the companies' shared vision to make enterprise AI more accessible. With turnkey solutions optimized for performance, security, and scalability, organizations will be able to rapidly harness the transformative potential of AI to drive innovation.
