Google announced the expansion of AI capabilities for Google One members through integration with Gemini, the company's conversational AI agent. Users who subscribe to the Google One AI Premium plan can now utilize Gemini directly within Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet.
This provides Premium subscribers access to AI-powered productivity features like helping draft emails, itineraries, budgets, presentations and more. Gemini acts as an assistant within products people already use daily, aiming to save time and enhance creativity through on-demand support.
The direct integration into Google's existing personal productivity suite is a major selling feature. Users can summon Gemini's writing or analysis aid without disruption, keeping them focused on core tasks.
The AI Premium plan costs $19.99 per month (however they are currently running a promotion where your first two months are free) and also includes access to Gemini Advanced powered by Ultra 1.0. Other benefits like expanded cloud storage and Google Photos features remain intact. This represents a major increase in exclusive access for paying Google One members.
